A-10 Names Deidre Rodeheaver & Jillian Rupinski Academic All-Conference

March 3, 2004

Junior Deidre Rodeheaver (Danville, PA / Danville) and sophomore Jillian Rupinski (Harrison City, PA / Penn-Trafford) have been named to the Atlantic 10 Conference's Women's Swimming Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Rodeheaver was named for a second straight year after posting a 3.82 GPA in accounting. She currently holds six school records, four of which were set this season. She set the 50 and 100-yard freestyle records and helped set the 400-yard free relay record at the Akron Invitational while helping set the 200 free relay record at the Atlantic 10 Championship. In addition she is partial holder of the 200-yard medley relay and 800-yard free relay records set at last year's A-10's.

Rupinski (left) set a school record in the 100-yard breaststroke at the Atlantic 10 Championship, placing fourth, while also turning in Duquesne's best time of the season in the 200-yard breaststroke at the Akron Invitational. An elementary education major with a 3.80 GPA she also is a member of teams that hold the school records for the 200-yard and 400-yard medley relays, set at last year's A-10's.
