Swimming Announces Roster Additions

Duquesne University seventh year swimming coach David Sheets recently announced the addition of four student-athletes to the 2008-09 men's and women's rosters. Brian Bouvier (Ipswich, Mass./Ipswich), Chad Houck (Lancaster, Pa./Donegal), Kristi Magee (San Antonio, Texas/Douglas MacArthur) and Tim Mancuso (North Brunswick, N.J./Saint Joseph) will join the Red and Blue this fall.
These four will join eight additional future Dukes who committed to Duquesne during the early signing period.
Bouvier, who competes in the butterfly and distance freestyle events, is a three-time YMCA All-American. In addition, he was named a Cape Ann League All-Star in each of his four high school seasons.
Houck was an All-State selection in the 100 freestyle. He also was an All-State honorable mention in the 50 freestyle.
Magee is a three-time All-State honoree as well as a two-time All-State honorable mention in the sprint freestyle events. She also has a hand in four school records, including the 200 freestyle and three relays.
Mancuso is a two-time All-American and three-time All-Area swimmer. A team captain as a senior, he is also a three-time GMC backstroke champion and a two-time Pirate Invitational backstroke champion.
