Katrina Streiner Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

Duquesne University freshman swimmer Katrina Streiner (Monroeville, PA/Gateway) has been named the Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the week ending Dec. 4. It is her third such accolade of the season.

Streiner won two gold medals while establishing a pair of school records at the SummaCare Invitational at Akron Dec. 2-4. She won the 50-yard freestyle with an NCAA "B" qualifying time of 23.53 and broke her own school record in winning the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.15. The NCAA "B" qualifying time is the first in the history of Duquesne's swimming program. In addition, she finished fourth in the 100-yard butterfly in 58.27.
