Winter Park, Fla. - Duquesne's women's tennis team opened their Florida "break" against one of the top programs in Division II, Rollins College. Rollins swept to their third straight win by topping the Dukes, 7-2, on Wednesday.

Sophomore Alicia McNamara (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern HS - Pendleton School) achieved a straight set singles win over Kat Hamlin, 6-4, 6-0, rasing her spring record to 3-1. Senior Julie Wagner (Erie, Pa./General McLane) and freshman Johanna Bezjak (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) teamed up for a 9-7 doubles win over Soni Bernal and Siliva Frandji.

The Dukes are now 3-4 while Rollins, ranked no. 2 in the Div. II Southeast Region, improved to 8-3. DU concludes their spring trip on Thursday, March 24th against Bethune-Cookman in Daytonna Beach, Fla. at 1:00 p.m.
