Duquesne University's women's tennis team took a 5-2 victory over Youngstown State on Tuesday at the Oxford Athletic Club in Monroeville, Pa.

The Dukes won the doubles point and four singles matches. Senior Katie Riedinger and junior Julie Wagner took the no. 2 doubles match, 8-4, and the freshman duo of Jackie Hughes and Alicia McNamara won at #3, 8-1. Joining Hughes (#3) and McNamara (#5) with singles wins were sophomore Diana Stein (#4) and junior Sarah Shanahan (#6). McNamara had the toughest match as Gina Peretti forced a third set which the DU frosh won 13-11.

The Dukes return to action this Saturday when they will take on Syracuse in Morgantown, W.Va. at the Western YMCA.
