Duquesne University's Jacqueline Hughes (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) has been named the 2006 Atlantic 10's Women's Tennis All-Conference team as voted upon by the league head coaches.

Hughes, a junior, posted an overall record of 34-14 on the year with the Dukes posting a 14-10 overall mark. She was 14-4 at No. 2 singles during the spring championship slate and posted an 8-3 mark sharing time at No. 1 and No. 2 singles in the fall. Hughes secured No. 1 doubles for the Red & Blue this spring and went 10-8. She had a 7-1 doubles mark in the fall at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.

At the 2006 Atlantic 10 Championships, Hughes went 2-0 in singles, 2-1 in doubles as the Dukes finished eighth in the 14-team tournament. In her three seasons with the Dukes, Hughes owns an overall record of 85-54. She is the first Duquesne women's tennis player to be named all-conference since Alina Klinova's citation in 2003.
