NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Duquesne's Kylie Isaacs and Julianne Herman were named to the Atlantic 10 Conference's Women's Tennis All-Conference First Team, as announced by the league office today.
A junior from Wexford, Pa., Isaacs was named to the A-10 All-Conference First Team as well as the A-10 All-Academic Team. This season she went 44-21 overall at the #1 singles and #1 doubles, posting a 19-13 record at the #1 singles and going 5-2 in conference play. The junior was also named A-10 Player of the Week on January 24.
Her 145 career wins and 75 career singles wins are the second most in program history. Additionally, Isaacs is the first player in program history to earn A-10 First Team honors three times. An information systems management major, Isaacs holds a 3.97 GPA.
Herman, a sophomore from Philadelphia, Pa., is earning her second A-10 honor (2016 All-Conference Second Team). She recorded a 51-14 record at the #2 singles and #1 doubles this season, and her 51 wins are the second best in program history for a single season. The sophomore also went 26-6 at the #2 singles, going 7-0 in A-10 play this season. Additionally, Herman was named A-10 Player of the Week on March 14.
The duo of Herman and Isaacs went 25-6 at the #1 doubles, winning 11 matches straight to end the season.
