Women's Tennis Schedule Released

PITTSBURGH - Head coach Joe Camillo announced the schedule for the 2007-08 season. The Dukes are coming off an incredible 2006-07 season in which they finished in fifth place in the Atlantic 10 Championship, their highest finish in five years. The Dukes will be playing their home matches at the Club 4 Life in Monroeville, Pa.
The season kicks off as the Dukes head down Forbes Avenue for the Carnegie Mellon Tournament. The two-day tournament will be held Sept. 8-9. The following weekend, DU will be participating in the Army Tournament Sept. 14-16. DU closes out September with a three-day tournament at Bucknell Sept. 28-30.
The fall 2007 season will conclude when the Red and Blue travel to Erie, Pa. to take on Mercyhurst Oct. 13.
The spring 2008 campaign begins as Duquesne visits Bloomsburg Feb. 2. The Dukes return to Bucknell for a match Feb. 2. The home opener will be against Georgetown Feb. 8. The next day, the Dukes will play a neutral site match against Eastern Michigan on the campus of West Virginia University. DU makes their first of two road trips into Ohio as they visit Toledo Feb. 15 and Bowling Green Feb. 16.
After a week in Orlando, Fla. for spring break Feb. 22-29, the Dukes begin a one month, eight match homestand. Atlantic 10 Conference play begins Mar. 7 as DU hosts George Washington followed by St. Bonaventure Mar. 14. Youngstown State visits for a non-conference match Mar. 25 before Duquesne concludes the A-10 regular season against Dayton and Xavier Mar. 28 and Mar. 29 respectively.
The final four matches of the spring season have the Dukes hosting West Virginia April 3, Niagara April 6, and Pittsburgh April 9. DU concludes the regular season with a match at Akron April 12.
