Reed comes to the Bluff after serving as a volunteer assistant coach for three season at the University of Pittsburgh where he coached sprints and hurdles. While with the Panthers, he helped mentor athletes to four national records, 13 NCAA All-American performances, 10 individual Big East and ACC conference championships, three individual IC4A Championships, an IC4A team championship, nine USA Track & Field national qualifiers and the 2014 Penn Relays Championship of America in the men's 4x400 (3:03.44).
Reed received his B.S in health and physical education in 2006 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and received his M.S. in exercise science from California, of Pennsylvania in 2012. He has IAAF Level 5 and USATF Level 3 certification in the sprints/hurdles/relays and jumps.
