Chuck Mohan enters his first season as the Dukes' throws coach for the 2005-06 season following a stellar four-year career with the Duquesne track & field team. At Duquesne Mohan immediately put his name in the records book as a freshman shattering the shot put record with a throw of 47' 9" at the WVU Spring Classic. He also set the new DU standard in the hammer throw with a distance of 135' 4" at the 2002 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship and broke the school record in the discus at the CMU Meet with a distance of 153' 6.75". He continued to smash his own marks each year before concluding her collegiate career posting school-record marks of 171' 6" in the discus, 183' 11" in the hammer and 51' 9.75" in the shot put. A native of near-by Monroeville, Mohan graduated from Gateway High School in 2001 and graduated from Duquesne in 2005. |
