Bob Reynolds is in his fourth season as the Dukes' pole vault coach. Last year, Sarah Fetterman took gold at the A-10 outdoor championship bettering her own school-record with a height of 10' 10" and qualified for the ECAC Championships. She took silver at the A-10 indoor championship. He came to Duquesne during the 2002-03 slate and helped guide the Red & Blue to a bronze medal in the pole vault at the women's indoor championship and to fourth and fifth place at A-10s for the outdoor season. Both the men's and women's squads posted school-record performances in the 2002-03 season under his guidance as Fetterman hit 10' 6.25" and Ryan Wotus vaulted a school-record 14' 1.25". Reynolds graduated from Baldwin High School in 1996 where he was a three-time Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) pole vault champion. He set the WPIAL vault record of 15' 8" in 1996 and his mark still stands today. That year, he also reigned as the Pennsylvania State High School pole vault champion. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000 where he was a four-year letterman in track & field. A two-time All-East and All-Ivy League section in the pole vault, Reynolds was also tabbed the team's MVP as a freshman. Reynolds is currently in graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh and is a Doctorate of Pharmacy candidate. |
