Women's Track Opens 2013 at Doug Raymond Invitational

KENT, Ohio - The Duquesne women's track and field team opened up the new year at Kent State University for the Doug Raymond Invitational.
The Dukes dominated the 3000m taking four of the top five spots. Haley Pisarcik finished first with a career-best time of 10:29.68. She was followed by Danica Snyder in third place (10:35.35), Kendall Seymour in fourth place (career-best 10:37.30) and Jenna Gigliottiin fifth place (10:43.19).
DU has three second place finishes - the 4x400m team of Shannon Abraham, Nicole Cherok, Abby O'Connell and Taylor Glenn finished second with a time of 3:53.38. The DMR team of Elise Farris, Colleen Gilmore, Abbie Marquard and Amber Valimont were also second, crossing in 12:18.60. Brittney Edwardswas second in the triple jump, 38-10.25
Up next for Duquesne is the Gulden Invitational hosted by Bucknell University.
