QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne women's track and field program resumed the 2017 indoor season on Saturday afternoon in the Doug Raymond Invite. The Dukes defeated Bowling Green, but fell to Ohio, Kent State and Youngstown State in dual format.

The event was highlighted by Mercedes Oliver, who set an indoor record in the hammer throw (58-9.5). The graduate transfer from Xavier finished first in a field of 13 throwers. The Dukes also got a first place finish from the 4x400, team of Maiah Yankello, Kel-Lisa Sebwe, Morghan Hyatt and Bethany Evankovich who crossed in 3:56.90

NEXT MEET: The Dukes head to Bucknell for the Art Gulden Invitational on Jan. 21st.

NOTE: Oliver broke Arin Whitman's record of 54-8.25 set in 2010.
