Dukes Capture Nine Medals at Bucknell Open

The Duquesne women's track team captured nine medals at the Bucknell Winter Classic led by a gold-medal performance in the 4 x 400 meter relay. The Dukes captured four silver and four bronze medals as well. Individually, Tara Gerlach took second in the 1000 meter run in a school-record time of 2:56.87. Samantha Howard took third with a 2:57.69 performance. Silver medals went to Erica Moody in the 400 meter dash; Gerlach in the 800 meter run; Kristen Micsky in the high jump and in the triple jump. Bronze was won by Elena Resovich in the 500 meter dash; Howard in the 1000; Sarah Fetterman in the pole vault and Micsky in the long jump.
