Women's Track in Second Place After Day 1 at A-10 Championship

KINGSTON, R.I. (Atlantic10.com)- The University of Dayton women's track and field team is currently out in front after day one of the 2012 Atlantic 10 Conference Track & Field Championships, held at Mackal Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Rhode Island.
Dayton sits atop the current standings with 67 points after day one thanks to first-place finishes from senior Courtney Sienenaller in the Pole Vault (12-05.50) and sophomore Aly Weeman in the Weight Throw (56-05.75). In addition to the first-place finishes, the Flyers also picked up second-place finishes in the 5,000 meters, the Pole Vault, and the Pentathlon.
Dayton swept the Pole Vault following strong second and third-place finishes by sophomores Hanna Krizmanic and Katrina Steinhauser.
Currently battling for second-place in the standings after day one is Duquesne (27) and Rhode Island (26.5).
Trailing Dayton, Duquesne, and Rhode Island heading into the final day of competition are Charlotte (22), La Salle (20), Richmond (19.5), Temple (16), Xavier (12), Saint Louis (10), Massachusetts (5.5), Saint Joseph's (4) and Fordham (4).
