Dukes Place Fourth at A-10 Championship

The Duquesne University women's indoor track and field team placed fourth at the Atlantic 10 Championship Saturday at Rhode Island. Duquesne captured two gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal on the way to DU's best ever finish at the indoor meet. Sophomore Tara Gerlach captured gold in the 1,000 meter run with a time of 2:58.32 as she did in the 4x800 meter relay team. Joining Garlach on the relay team were sophomore Elizbeth Graham and juniors Alison Buchanan and Michelle Flynn. Junior Kristen Micsky received a silver medal in the high jump with a height of five feet, five inches while fellow junior Sarah Fetterman took silver in the pole vault with a height of ten feet, four inches. Senior Shea McMillan placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 39 feet and one quarter inch to capture bronze. Gerlach and Duquesne's 4x800 relay team were named to the A-10 Women's Indoor Track and Field All-Conference First-Team. TEAM SCORES
