Results

Boston, Massachusetts - Duquesne's 4 x 800 meter relay team set a new school record at the 2003 ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center this past weekend. This competition completes DU's indoor season.

The relay team of sophomore Alison Buchanan, freshman Tara Gerlach, sophomore Michelle Flynn and freshman Liz Graham completed the 4x800 meter race in a time of 9:16.62. This mark broke the quartet's own school record of 9:23.58 set last month at the Penn State National Open.

Two other Dukes qualified for this event. Junior Nicole Wiley put up a time of 9:12 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles and sophomore Marcie Hepler tossed the shot put 42 feet even (12.80 meters).

The outdoor track and field season gets underway at the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina on Friday and Saturday, March 28-29.
