QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne women's track and field team opened the outdoor season at High Point, N.C. this weekend, competing in the High Point Invitational.The Dukes finished 4th of 16 teams in 21 total events.

Bethany Evankovich crossed the line in 55.91 in the 400m, taking second. In the same event, Maiah Yankello finished in fifth with a PR of 57.65.

Hannah Gilliam's time of 2:16.79 in the 800m gave the Dukes a fifth place finish. Megan Aller took third in the 3000m with a PR time of 10:31.54. The Dukes had another third-place finish from Maria Carberry with her time of 17:52.60 in the 5000m.

In the 400m hurdles, Yankello took fourth, crossing the line in a PR time of 1:02.55. Victoria Soeder took third in the long jump for the Dukes with a mark of 18-4.25. In the high jump, Maris Seto earned first place with a mark of 5-5, with Shannon Taub taking fourth in the same event with a mark of 5-1.

Duquesne's 4x400m Relay team of Yankello, Evankovich, Gilliam and Kel-Lisa Sebwe crossed the line in second with a time of 3:48.52.

UP NEXT: The Dukes will compete in the Colonial Relays held in Williamsburg, Va. March 31- April 1.
