Results

Pittsburgh, Pa. - Senior Kristen Micsky (Greenville, Pa. / Reynolds) captured two golds and a silver as she led Duquesne University's women's outdoor track & field team to a third place finish (of 14 teams) at the Western Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Championships Saturday at Carnegie Mellon's Gesling Stadium.

Micsky finished first in the long jump (17 feet, 00.50 inches) and the triple jump (37 feet, 10.50 inches). Her leap of 5 feet, 2.25 inches was good for second in the high jump.

The Dukes won five events at this annual meet. Freshman Samantha Howard (Moon Twp., Pa. / Moon) won the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:49.56. Fellow frosh Amy Ruffalo (Bradford Woods, Pa. / North Allegheny) took the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:29.78. Duquesne's 800 meter relay team took the gold with a time of 9:31.50.

Duquesne next heads to the University of Virginia's Lou Onesty/Milton Abramson Invitational which will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 15th & 16th in Charlottesville, Va.
