DUQUESNE FINISH: 6th of 49 teams (57 points)

QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne women's track and field team had an impressive 6th place finish out of 49 teams at the 50th running of the The Colonial Relays hosted by The College of William and Mary this weekend.

The Dukes were led by the 4x400m team of Anna Simone, Kim Watterson, Louise Prevoteau and Abby O'Connell who were crowned champions in the 30-team event. They crossed in 3:46.64, earning 10 points.

Sherie Key earned eight points in the triple jump (39-5.75). She added one point in the long jump (17-9). Valerie Palmero also scored eight points in the steelplechase (10.44.70). She was followed by Danica Snyder in third place for six points (10:50.51).

Jenny DelSignore scored six points in the 3000m (10:02.06). Simone also recorded six points in the 100m hurdles (14.23).

Louise Prevoteau scored a total of seven points, four in the 400m hurdles (1:02.71) and three in the long jump (17-9.75). Rachel Fyalkowski scored four point in the hammer (132-3) and Sophia Fustos one point in the shot put (40-8.75).



UP NEXT: Duquesne heads to Lewisburg, Pa. for the Bison Outdoor Classic on April 11-12.
