Women's Track Finishes Ninth at Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Duquesne women's track and field team placed ninth of 30 teams in the Colonial Relays this past weekend. The Dukes recorded 50 total points.

Hannah Scipio made her outdoor debut with a first place finish in the 5000m. She crossed in 17:53.55 in a field of 20 runners.

Nicole Cherok was second of 46 in the 400m hurdles. She finished with a time of 59.99. Danica Snyder was second of 24 in the 3000m Steeplechase with a PR of 10:35.59. Paige Rittelmann was fifth in the high jump at 5-5.25.

In the field events, Brittany Edwards was first in the triple jump with a mark of 40-1.25 and third in the long jump with a PR of 19-0.50. Ashley Adams was third in the discus with a distance of 143-8.
