QUICK RECAP: Danica Snyder's time of 9:55.89 in the 3000m set a new Duquesne record at the Bucknell Team Challenge on Saturday. The previous record was set by Amber Valimont in 2011 of 9:57.76.

The Dukes finished 4th out of eight teams in the event with a total of 95 points.

Several Dukes had PRs in the meet: Alexandra Johansen (2:15.32 - 800m), Abby O'Connell (2:16.93 - 800m), Natalie Schichtel (2:19.83 - 800m), Valerie Palermo (4:36.25 - 1500m), Jenny DelSignore (4:38.03 - 1500m), Autumn Greba (4:40.58 - 1500m), Louise Prevoteau (1:01.98 - 400m hurdles), Annegret Nehl (1:04.02 - 400m hurdles), Nicole Bell (4-11 - high jump), Sophia Fustos (42-6 - shot put), Rachel Fyalkowski (39-7 - shot put), Gabriella Benninger (31-11.25 - shot put, 103-11 - javelin), Leah Swartz (31-7.25 - shot put, 105-6 - discus), Miranda McCune (96-9 - shot put), Alyse DePaola (143-4 - hammer).

 

 

The host Bison finished in first place with 195 points. Binghamton (98) and Towson (98)tied for second. Mount St. Mary's was behind Duquesne with 54 points. Saint Francis (36), Lock Haven (21) and Penn State (8) were sixth, seventh and eighth.

UP NEXT: Duquesne will be competing in two events on Saturday - the Penn Relays and the Red Flash Open.
