AMHERST - The Duquesne women's track and field team tied their best finish in program history at Atlantic 10 Championship by finishing 2nd of 11 teams at this year's event. The Dukes brought home 14 medals (3 gold, 5 silver, 6 bronze).

Additionally, four school records were broken - Sherie Key in the high jump (5-8.75), Louise Prevoteau in the heptathlon (5034), Julia Franzosa in the javelin (142-5) and Anna Simone (twice) in the 100m hurdles (14.22). Key and Prevoteau broke their previous marks set earlier this season whole Franzosa's broke the mark that was set by Erica DaCosta in 2002. Simone broke the previous record of 14.42 held by Nicole Wiley in 2003. She has a time of 14.24 in the qualifying round and finished in 14.22 in the final round.
