Dukes Sixth After Day One of A-10 Championship

FAIRFAX, Va. - The Duquesne women's track and field team sits in sixth place after day one of the 2018 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Saturday at George Mason Stadium. 

The Dukes registered 15 points through six scored events at the meet. Dayton leads the way with 57 points followed by George Mason in second and Davidson third. 

Sophomore Maris Seto (Brownsville, Pa./Brownsville) earned bronze in the long jump with a mark of 5.70 meters in the event to lead Duquesne on the day. 

In the 10,000-meter run, senior Jenny DelSignore (Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) finished fourth with a time of 35:47.39 while junior Elizabeth Morris (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) placed fifth, crossing the finish line in 35:55.19. 

In addition, sophomore Maiah Yankello (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) advanced to Sunday's final in the 400-meter hurdles following a fifth-place finish (1:02.02) in Saturday's prelims. 

Sunday's action at the 2018 A-10 Championship will get underway at 9 a.m. from Fairfax, Va.
