Women's Track Finishes Fifth at 2012 Atlantic 10 Championship
May 6, 2012 AMHERST, Mass. - After scoring 86 points, the Duquesne women's track and field team finished fifth at the 2012 Atlantic 10 Championship. The Dukes had four medal winners - Nicole Cherok scored 10 points after winning gold in the 400m hurdles with a school record time of 59.91. Sherie Key won silver in the high jump (5-6) earning eight points. Chelsea Zahn recorded a career-best in the discus (150-9) wining bronze and six points. Shelby Haitz was also a bronze medal winner in the 800m with a PR of 2:12.45 earning DUQ six points. Haitz was also on the 4x800m relay team that won bronze along with Elise Farris, Haley Pisarcik and Amber Valimont, earning six points. DUQUESNE POINT SCORERS
