DelSignore Shatters 5K Record at ECAC Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Jenny DelSignore (Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) set a new school record in the 5,000-meter run on Saturday to pace the Duquesne women's track and field team at the 2018 ECAC Track and Field Championships at Weaver Stadium on the campus of Princeton University. 

DelSignore placed third in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:34.18, shattering Autumn Greba's previous record time of 16:39.34 set last season. 

DelSignore now owns the school record in both the outdoor and indoor 5,000-meter as well as the 3,000-meter.  

The Dukes' 4x800-meter relay team consisting of freshman Laura Ehrenberger McMurray, Pa./Peters Township), junior Erin Durnin (Southampton, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) and sophomores Megan Aller (New Kensington, Pa./Kiski Area) and Rachel Valotta (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) posted a season-best time of 9:09.56 in the event. 

Duquesne placed 39th overall at the two-day meet.
