New Haven, Conn. - Duquesne University's women's outdoor track and field team added two points Sunday, the final day of competition in the 2004 ECAC Championships at Yale University, on senior Shea McMillan's (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Mt. Lebanon) seventh place performance in the triple jump. The Pittsburgh native's leap of 11.95 meters - 39 feet, 2.50 inches (wind -0.8) - broke her previous school record set at the Atlantic 10 Championships two weeks ago.

Sophomore Melissa Stewart (Indiana, Pa. / Indiana), who has already qualified for the NCAA regionals in the discuss throw, tossed the shot put 13.30 meters (43' 7.75") and finished 18th in the competition. Duquesne's 4 x 800 meter relay team, which set a new school record of 9:02.23 Saturday in qualifying for the ECAC finals, came in ninth Sunday with a time of 9:10.19.

The Dukes accumulated eight points and tied American U. for 30th place among the 47 teams that scored this weekend.
