Women's Track Finishes 13th at ECAC Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Duquesne women's track and field team finish 13th out of 57 teams at the 2014 ECAC Championship held at Princeton University. The Dukes, who participated in 13 events, finished with 23 points.
Elise Farris set a new school record in the preliminary of the 800m with a time of 2:06.89. She followed up in the finals by finishing 5th out of 25 runners with a time of 2:08.67, earning five points. The previous school record was 2:08.26 set in 2010 by Melissa Miller.
Haley Pisarcik was 5th of 11 in the 5000m, finishing in 4:25.53 and earning six points.
Anna Simone earned eight points by finishing 2nd of six runners in the 400m. She crossed in 57.42.
Amber Valimont placed 8th of 16 in the 3000m steeplechase. Her time of 10:37.40 was good for one point.
In the heptathlon, Louise Prevoteau was 6th, earning three points with a score of 4971.
