QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne women's track and field team opened the 2016-17 season at the Watson and Tressel Training Site in Youngstown, Ohio. The event was non-scoring.

Shannon Taub set a new program record in the high jump, clearing 5-7.75. She finished 1st in a field of 23.

Duquesne had four more 1st place finishers. Maiah Yankello in the 800m (2:20.70), Bethany Evankovich in the 400m (56.83), Alison Carson in the 3000m (10:37.87) and the 4x400m team of Yankello, Evankovich, Kaitlyn Janusey and Kel-Lisa Sebwe (3:55.42).

UP NEXT: The Dukes are off until Jan. 14th when they participate in the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State.

QUICK NOTE: The previous indoor high jump record was 5-7 by Sherie Key in 2013.
