- The Duquesne women's track and field team heads to Kingston, R.I. for the 2018 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday, Feb. 17 and Sunday, Feb. 18 at Mackal Field House. The action gets underway at 9 a.m. ET on Saturday morning.
- The Dukes took sixth place at last year's A-10 Indoor Championship hosted by George Mason in Fairfax, Va. Victoria Soeder (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) won bronze in the long jump with a mark of 18-9.25 for Duquesne.
- All told, the Dukes finished with three medals at least season's championship meet, as seniors Mercedes Oliver (bronze) and Autumn Greba (silver) recorded top-three marks in the weight throw and 3000-meter run, respectively.
- DU was last in action at the VMI Winter Relays last weekend, where the Dukes recorded seven top-five finishes, buoyed by a first-place time in the 4x400-meter relay (3.49.18) by freshman Gabby Holmberg Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) and sophomores Bethany Evankovich (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane), Kel-Lisa Sebwe(Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and Maiah Yankello (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley).
The Dukes open the outdoor season on March 16-17 with the Charlotte 49er Invitational.
