Women's Track Places Third At Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Duquesne women's track and field team placed third of 45 teams with 58 points at the 2017 Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William and Mary. Taking first and second place were Bucknell (65 points) and Norfolk State (64 points).  

Jenny DelSignore's time of 9:43.87 set a program record in the 3000m, earning six points for Duquesne. 

Additionally, Bethany Evankovich finished first in the 400m, crossing the line in 56.09 (10 points). 
Victoria Soeder took second in the long jump, with a mark of 18' 8" (8 points). In the 4x800m, the team of Maiah Yankello, Annegret Nehl, Hannah Gilliam and Bethany Evankovich (8 points) finished second with a time of 9:15. 

Maiah Yankello's time of 1:01 in the 400m Hurdles gave Duquesne a third-place finish (6 points). Other point scorers included Autumn Greba in the 5000m, finishing in 16:53 (3 points) and Shannon Taub taking sixth in the Triple Jump with a mark of 37-9 (5 points).
