Duquesne University sophomore Amy Ruffolo (Bradford Woods, Pa./North Allegheny) will take on some of the top collegiate runners in the country this evening competing in the 3,000 meter Steeplechase at the NCAA East Regional Championships at Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A & T in Greensboro, NC. Ruffolo's seed time of 10:46.21 in the third fastest in the her heat.

Ruffolo earned her spot in the NCAA Regional at the 2006 Atlantic 10 Championship when she captured second crossing in school-record and NCAA qualifying time - her seed mark of 10:46.21.

The top five finishers in each event will advance to the NCAA Championshps June 7-10 in Sacramento, CA.
