Liz Homan enters her first year as assistant coach and her third year on the volleyball staff.

After playing professionally overseas for a season, Homan returned to the Bluff as the Dukes' graduate assistant for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. In that time, she helped coach the Dukes to their first-ever Atlantic 10 regular season title, Atlantic 10 Championship title and berth in the NCAA Championship.

Homan is one of the most decorated players in program history. The first-ever Duquesne American Volleyball Coaches Association Division I All-American, Homan finished her career with with 1,136 kills (7th all-time), a .325 hitting percentage (1st all-time) and 393 total blocks (3rd all-time).

In her time at Duquesne, Homan has been:
• 2008 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team

• 2009 Atlantic 10 Second-Team All-Conference

• 2010 Atlantic 10 First-Team All-Conference

• 2010 AVCA Honorable Mention All-America

• 2011 Atlantic 10 Second-Team All-Conference

• Two-Time Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week

• Three-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

Homan graduated in 2012 with an integrated marketing communications degree.
