Carrie Norris enters her third year as an assistant coach with the Duquesne volleyball program devoted to help bolster the Dukes into the upper ranking of the Atlantic 10 Conference. She aids in recruiting, scouting and all aspects of coaching within the program.

Norris comes to Duquesne after a highly successful collegiate career as a setter with the University of Pittsburgh. A four-year starter, Norris holds the Pitt career assist mark with 4,727 and was second in the Big East in 2002 with a 12.71 assists per game average. A three-time All-Big East selection, Norris was tabbed a second-team all-conference pick in 2000 and 2002 and to the all-rookie squad in 1999. Norris also earned the 2003 "Panther Award" naming her the most outstanding female student-athlete at the University of Pittsburgh. The two-year team captain was a member of the Golden Key honor society and the Big-East All-Academic team.

Norris graduated from Pitt in April of 2003 with a degree in business finance. Her coaching career started in 1999 as a coach for various summer camps before taking over the helm of the Penn Juniors Volleyball Club in January 2003 guiding the program 16's team.

The Fostoria, Ohio native was also a member of the Pittsburgh Student-Athlete Advisory Board, Chi Omega Fraternity and was chosen as the school's representative on the Big East Student-Athlete Advisory Board.
