Phil Pauvlinch enters his second season as the volleyball team's student assistant. A 2006 graduate from Hopewell High School, Pauvlinch was a four-year varsity letter winner and scholar athlete for the Vikings. He led Hopewell to their first-ever WPIAL playoff berth in 2005 as the Vikings were the most improved team in their section. The following season, Hopewell won its first-ever playoff match. Additionally, Pauvlinch served as manager for the Hopewell girl's volleyball team who won three WPIAL championships and a PIAA state title. Pauvlinch also played two seasons Junior Olympic club volleyball with Beaver Valley Premier and currently is a member of the Duquesne men's club volleyball team. The Aliquippa, Pa. native is currently pursuing his Pharm. D. |
