The women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to visiting Eastern Michigan in the nightcap of day one's action of the Duquesne/Robert Morris Invitational.

Ashley Macko led the match with 15 digs while Stephanie Hopkins added 12 and Sarah Morrow 11 digs in the loss. Morrow paced DU with nine kills.

The Dukes trailed 11-19 in game one and got within a 16-20 reach before Eastern Michigan captured a 30-22 win. Duquesne held a 21-18 margin over the Eagles in game two and kept the contest within reach before a 25-25 tie. The Eagles scored the final five points for the 30-25 edge.

Eastern Michigan used solid hitting in game three and held their momentum taking a 30-21 victory to win the match.

The Dukes are back in action Saturday morning as they host Saint Peter's at 11:00 am at the Palumbo Center.
