The Duquesne volleyball team improved to 2-1 this morning with a 3-0 sweep over visiting Saint Peter's in the second day's action of the Duquesne/Robert Morris Invitational.

Senior Sarah Morrow (Baytown, Texas/Robert E. Lee) led the game with 16 kills while freshman Amanda Haeg (New Prague, Minn./New Prague) racked up match highs of 11 digs and three service aces.

The Red & Blue captured game one with a 30-26 score followed by a 30-23 decision in game two. The Dukes took a 30-22 decision in game three for the sweep hitting an impressive .311 (20-6-45) for the game.

Senior Sarah Brown had 29 assists for DU while Diana Wuebker led the contest with four blocks (1 solo, 3 assisted).

Duquesne hit .256 for the game with 53 kills, 19 errors and 133 attempts. Duquesne also racked up eight service aces in the match.

The Dukes close out the Invitational hosting Davidson tonight at 7:00 pm.
