Duquesne improved to 2-0 on the season taking Seton Hall 3-1 in the final game of day one's action of the Duquesne/Robert Morris Invitational. Stephanie Hopkins led four Dukes in double figure kills with 16 and added 16 digs.

Also hitting double figure kills were Diana Wuebker and Amanda Haeg with 12 and Erin Trageser with 11. Trageser led the match with 17 digs and added three blocks. Wuebker led the match with four service aces.

Freshman Kristin Garnett led the match with 57 assists.

Duquesne took a 30-20 margin in game one before suffering a 19-30 set-back in game two. Duquesne rallied for a 30-23 edge in game three before securing the win with a 30-21 decision in game four.

Alex Dyer led Seton Hall (0-2) and the match with 18 kills while Amber Davis and Kelly Widders each recorded six blocks.

In game two of the Invite at Duquesne, Georgia State defeated Seton Hall 3-0 (30-20, 30-24, 30-20). Ana Paula Ferreira led Georgia State with 12 kills and Seton Hall's Jennifer Procuniar led her Pirates with 10 kills.
