BUFFALO, NEW YORK -- Duquesne's volleyball team extended their winning streak to six straight as the Dukes won the Canisius / Niagara Tournament with a 3-0 (30-19, 33-31, 32-30) win over Maine Saturday afternoon at Niagara's Gallagher Center. This is the second tournament win for the Dukes who are now a perfect 6-0.

The Dukes were led by junior Sarah Morrow (Baytown, Texas / Robert E. Lee) with 15 kills and sophomore Ashley Macko (Pittsburgh, Pa. / South Park) with 10. Junior Sarah Brown (Glen Rock, Pa. / Susquehannock) saved plays with 13 digs while setting up teammates with 41 assists.

The Dukes topped their season-best in blocks, set earlier Saturday in the win over Niagara, with 18 blocks. Freshman Diana Wuebker (St. Henry, Ohio / St. Henry) paced the Red and Blue with three solo blocks while Morrow assisted on six stoppers.

The Red and Blue return to action on Friday, Sept. 13th when they travel to Kansas City, MO, for the Missouri-Kansas CIty Invitational. Also participating in the two-day event are teams from Youngstown State, Iowa State and Winthrop.
