The Dukes' volleyball team suffered a 3-1 loss (31-33, 21-30, 30-25, 21-30) to visiting Robert Morris Tuesday night in a non-conference bout at the Palumbo Center. The loss drops the Dukes to 6-7 while Robert Morris improves to 8-5.

Diana Wuebker led the Red & Blue with 17 kills and added 17 assists. Three other Dukes hit double-figure kills as Amanda Haeg and Jenni Gross recorded 12 each and Stephanie Hopkins added 11. Hopkins led DU with 23 digs. Setter Kristin Garnett had 52 assists in the loss. Ashley Macko posted four aces for Duquesne as well. Jenni Gross led the match with five blocks (two solo, three assisted).

Rachel Leitch led Robert Morris with 18 kills and Darcy Thompson with 33 digs.

Duquesne held a 7-6 edge in team blocks for the match and each squad had 91 digs. RMU held the kills edge with 71 to DU's 65.

The Dukes are back in play this Saturday as they host George Washington in the Atlantic 10 opener beginning at 7:00 pm at the Palumbo Center.
