The Dukes suffered a 3-0 loss to visiting West Virginia in a non-conference volleyball match Tuesday night at the Palumbo Center. Diana Wuebker led the Red & Blue with 13 kills followed by Lindsey Hess with 10. Karisa Decker led the defense with 11 digs while Kristin Garnett posted 38 assists. Hess, who came off the bench in game two, hit .375 (10-1-24) for her two games in the match and recorded eight digs and two blocks.

Duquesne started slow losing game one 16-30 and hitting just .026 (8-7-39) before getting more into their rhythm in game two. DU out-hit the Mountaineers 16-13 in kills, but suffered a 25-30 fall. Game three went down to the wire with WVU edging out Duquesne 32-30 for the decision. DU hit .266 (21-4-64) in the third game, but couldn't seal the win.

The Dukes return to Atlantic 10 action this weekend hosting defending A-10 champs Temple on Friday and La Salle on Saturday. Match times are 7:00 pm both days.
