PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne volleyball team improved to 18-6 overall and 6-1 in Atlantic 10 Conference play after a 3-0 shutout of La Salle on Sunday afternoon. The set scores were 25-17, 25-23 and 25-12.

Allison Foschia and Arielle Love combined for 30 kills (15 each). Mary Henry recorded 40 assists and Patti Abshire had 13 digs.

Duquesne has one nine of its last 10 matches heading into a pair of road matches at Charlotte on Friday and VCU on Saturday. The next home match will be on Tuesday, Oct. 23 against cross-town rival Robert Morris.

Today was the Dukes' annual Dig Pink match. For the fourth straight season, the Duquesne volleyball team is joining up with the Side-Out Foundation to help raise money for breast cancer research. Duquesne is setting a goal of $2,500 and is reaching out to friends, family and fans for donations to help the team reach its goal.
