Duquesne University's volleyball team, after winning the first game at Xavier, dropped a 3-1 (31-29, 18-30, 25-30, 21-30) decision to the Musketeers Saturday afternoon at the Cintas Center.

Amanda Haeg (New Prague, Minn. / New Prague) again paced the Red and Blue with 17 kills. Juniors Stephanie Hopkins and Diana Wuebker (St. Henry, Ohio / St. Henry) each added 13 kills while freshman Jenni Gross (Amherst, Ohio / Amherst Steele) contributed 10 kills. Hopkins and Wuebker had 13 and 12 digs, respectively. Fellow frosh Kristin Garnett (Frankfort, Ill. / Lincoln-Way East) set up 59 winners (14.8 apg).

Xavier (12-8, 6-1) was led Kate Duchet's 24 kills and Molly Martin's 14 digs and 65 assists (16.3 apg).

Next weekend, the Dukes (9-13, 2-5 A-10) head to Loretto, Pa. for a non-conference match with St. Francis on Fri. Oct. 22 at 6:00 p.m.
