ENDING THE STREAK: Tonight the Duquesne volleyball team ended its 16-game losing streak against defending Atlantic 10 champion Dayton. The last Dukes win over the Flyers was Nov. 13, 2004 at the Palumbo Center. That span is 8 years, 11 months and 13 days or 3,269 days. When the Dukes won the first set, it marked the first time since 2007 the Dukes won a set off the Flyers in the A-10 regular season. Duquesne won a set off Dayton in the 2010 Atlantic 10 Championship.
MOVING UP IN THE RECORD BOOKS: With her game-high 14 kills, Allison Foschia moved ahead of Sara Scheirman ('13) into 3rd place all-time on Duquesne's kill list. Foschia now has 1,199 kills. She trails Diana Wuebker ('06) by 21 to move into second place.
WINNING: The Dukes extended their winning streak to seven matches. This ties the longest winning streak in program history. Duquesne won seven straight from Oct. 1 - Oct. 23, 2010. However, this is the longest conference winning streak in program history and is the best start to the A-10 schedule since the Dukes joined in 1986.
UP NEXT: The Dukes have a two-match road trip on Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 against George Mason and George Washington respectively. Both matches begin at 7:00 p.m.
