DUKES SHUT LA SALLE, TIE A-10 VICTORY RECORD: The Duquesne volleyball tied a program-record with their 10th Atlantic 10 Conference victory after defeating La Salle 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

DUQUESNE LEADERS: Lacey Levers led Duquesne with nine kills and hit .818. Mary Henry had 27 assists. Patti Abshire recorded a match-best 16 digs. Arielle Love had a match-best four blocks.

DEFENSE COMING UP BIG: The Dukes held La Salle to a .041 hitting percentage, forcing 20 attack errors and making 14 blocks

SENIORS HONORED: Seniors Allison Foschia and Marah Farage were honored in a pre-match ceremony - the duo has led Duquesne to 80 career wins and four Atlantic 10 Championship berths

MATCH NOTES:

  • Currently, the Dukes are 1/2 game behind VCU for first place in the A-10 - VCU leads the conference with an 11-2 record

  • This is Duquesne's seventh 3-0 win this season

  • The Dukes are 32-3 all-time against La Salle and 16-1 at the Palumbo Center

    UP NEXT: This was the final home match for the Dukes this season. They finish out the regular season next weekend at first place VCU on Friday before playing at La Salle on Sunday.
