The Duquesne women's volleyball team suffered a 3-1 loss to league-leading Temple Friday night at the Palumbo Center. Sarah Morrow (Baytown, Texas/Robert E. Lee) led the Dukes with 13 kills and tied the team lead with 11 digs and four blocks. Diana Wuebker (St. Henry, Ohio/St. Henry) and Stephanie Hopkins (Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) added 12 kills each.

Setters Sarah Brown (Glen Rock, Pa./Susquehannock) and Avery Dunn (Austin, Texas/Stephen F. Austin) shared time recording 23 and 24 assists respectively.

Liu Shu led the Temple and the match with 23 kills while Margaret Majewski posted a match-best 18 digs.

Temple took the first game 30-22 before the Dukes bounced back and captured a 30-21 edge in game two. Game three was a battle with the Owls edging out the Dukes 30-28. Temple won the match with a 30-23 decision in game four.

Duquesne closes out the regular season hosting La Salle on Saturday beginning at 5:00 pm at the Palumbo Center. It's Senior Night and the Department of Athletics will recognize Sarah Brown, Cristy Gustas, Jill McQuellon and Sarah Morrow prior to the match.
