Volleyball Ends Season in A-10 Semifinals With 3-0 Loss to Dayton

DAYTON - The Duquesne volleyball team finished its 2011 season with a 3-0 loss to Dayton in the semifinal round of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday evening. The scores of the sets were 25-14, 25-11, 25-9. Sara Scheirman and Allison Foschia led DU with five kills. Taylor Jones had 19 assists and Patti Abshire recorded 10 digs
The Dukes only had one lead in the contest - on the first point of the third set on a Foschia kill.
The Dukes finish the 2011 season 19-13 and will lose four seniors - two starters - to graduation next season.
