Atlantic 10 Conference release

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has named four members of the Duquesne volleyball team to its All-Conference teams as announced by the league today.

Arielle Love was named First-Team All-Conference. The sophomore middle hitter finished the regular season sixth in the A-10 with a .319 hitting percentage and was second of the Dukes with 309 kills. Her 98 total blocks was best on the team. She was named A-10 Co-Offensive Player of the Week twice this season.

Allison Foschia was named Second-Team All-Conference. She finished with a team-best 326 kills which was seventh best in the A-10 and was a two-time Offensive Player of the Week. Additionally, the junior outside hitter was named to the All-Academic team. Foschia, who majors in occupational therapy, has a GPA of 3.90.

Mary Henry and Taylor Lockett were named to the All-Rookie Team. Henry, a five-time A-10 Rookie of the Week, led the conference with 1,133 assists and was third averaging 10.40 assists per set. Lockett, who ended the regular season as A-10 Rookie of the Week, finished the season with 65 kills and 53 blocks.

The Dukes (22-10, 9-5 A-10), who are the #4 seed begin their journey to the 2012 Atlantic 10 Championship tomorrow when they face #5 seed Temple at 7:00 p.m. All matches in the championship will be played at the Palumbo Center.
