Love Named A-10 Offensive Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Duquesne junior Arielle Love was named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Offensive Player of the Week.
Love recorded 25 kills and hit .622 to lead the Dukes to a 2-0 record, more importantly Duquesne clinched the #1 seed at the Atlantic 10 Championship. Against VCU, Love had 13 kills and hit .458. She followed that with a career-high .923 hitting percentage with 12 kills on 13 swings at La Salle. It was the Dukes' best hitting performance since Sept. 12, 1997. Love has had 14 matches hitting .300 or better this season and 11 matches with double-figure kills.
This is her 3rd OPOW award for Love, who was a two-time winner last season.
Duquesne will take on the Saint Louis and Dayton winner on Saturday afternoon in the semifinals of the A-10 Championship. Match time is 3:00 p.m.
