Women's Cross Country Finishes 18th at Paul Short Invitational

BETHELHEM, PA. - The Duquesne women's cross country team finished 18th in a field of 43 teams at the 35th annual Lehigh University Brooks Paul Short Run on Friday morning. Of the nine schools representing the Atlantic 10 Conference, the Dukes finished behind only Richmond (8th) and Charlotte (11th).

DU had seven runners in the 6k event and finished with an overall time of 1:52.19. Hannah Ringo finished first for Duquesne (63rd overall) with a time of 21:45 (620 places). She was followed by Katie Kelly (107/22:16), Meg Ecker (126/22:30), Sara Cimino (138/22:39), Danielle Werley (186/23:10), Carly Brickett (195/23:14) and Meghan Van Houten (216/23:24).

The Dukes return to action on Saturday Oct. 11 for the Carnegie Mellon University Invite. Meet time is at 2:00 p.m.
